by The world is full of panderers trying to sell you the dream only to benefit themselves. Maybe, I am selling you a dream as well but by being logical about it. The world is a mix of immense opportunities, inequalities, cruelty, massive risk-rewards, and materialistic goals. It provides you with routes to pursue but they don’t lead to true Happiness, delight, contentedness, and “BLISS”.
Equality is impossible
No human is created the same, we are all different. Evolution is very random. No one did anything to be born in a rich family, or well-doing part of the world like the west, Europe, etc. Maradona was a great player also because he was 5.5ft and had amazing physical agility. His center of gravity was lower which allowed him to keep control of the ball better than others. Lebron James is 6’9” with amazing abilities. Both play sports that are loved by millions hence they make millions.
People are born with some talent like I can apply logic and so I am a coder, however, I am very bad at arts so never went towards being an artist. The universe gives everyone some advantages and some disadvantages.
There are debates about wealth inequality and minimum wage, however, our computers/phones are made in countries where people are no better off than slaves. Poor countries are bombed and people there are used as guinea pigs to test medicines. No one cares, why? Because the concept of equality is limited to thinking about you with respect to others similar to you. The rest of the world might be struggling, out of mind and focus. Hence, equality is self-centered.
Forget equality and be yourself, advantages and disadvantages included.
There is no ideal world, things won’t be the way they should be
There is no such thing as ideal world, and there never would be. The world is driven by incentives. Its shapes the difference between the way things are and the way things should be. Many people are driven by idealism which is not optimism. They dream about a life in an ideal world that does not match reality. This only leads to desperation, misery, and anguish. The world is not going to change. It never has and it would never will.
Corporations are incentivized to make profit and not for employee welfare. Politicians are incentivized to get reelected or get elected to a higher role. Most news outlets are incentivized to keep you distracted in too much negative news which reinforces the perception of an ideal world.
Forget what’s happening outside, find the thing that drives you and work on it. Focus on operating in the society to your best. Find your incentive to become successful. Success is about finding the right reason to do it.
You may or may not be successful
Life is a sum of a lot of factors that make the outcome of anything you do in life random. You might have done everything right with a lot of hard work and intelligence, but still, fail. You are not scared to fail. You are scared to give your best and still fail. Its scary because it reveals hard truths like maybe you are not good enough or may you are always unlucky.
So what? Life is an experiment and we are all scientists in this giant laboratory, someone would invent or discover something and some might not. If you try there is a possibility of failure, and if not then there is a certainty of failure. Its as simple as it gets.
So why is not everyone giving their best shots all the time? Because you are emotional and not logical. Failing and getting rejected is very emotional and not easy to deal with. They hurt really bad. It’s easy to live with the thought that I can be successful and find an excuse to not do it.
I do this as well. I know it would be so much better to know in advance if you would succeed or not in advance without actually doing it. But that ain’t gonna happen. Remember that possibility will only exist if you try as hard as you can and give your best.
