Ignorance is a good thing, its actually a bliss. Babies are ignorant and they are the most happy creatures. They don’t evaluate on any parameters, they don’t judge. They don’t envy or hate anyone. They are simply peaceful.
Creativity needs ignorance as well. Of course, it needs knowledge of the craft but too much application of knowledge and expectations can damage the integrity of the creative work. The reason art is paid highly is because no one can tell what to create in the beginning. Its like navigating the mind and expressions without a map.
Knowledge
Knowledge is power, it gives us clarity of consequences of our actions. Knowledge of weather gives farmers power to prepare for the bad weather. Clarity is antonym of chaos.
What brings chaos ?
Incomplete knowledge leads to chaos. Chaos happens when we know partially about something but our mind starts to make conclusions based on it. Incomplete information tricks us in believing our biased and limited conclusions. We become judgemental and form opinions too soon. So often just by looking at someone for the first time in a public event, we start concluding if someone is rich/successful/extrovert/kind-hearted etc.
Chaos starts when we start acting on the incomplete knowledge believing otherwise. This often results in situations which are unexpected and out of our control. Hence, resulting in chaos. Chaos is a by-product of us acting on incomplete knowledge and expecting a different result than the actual outcome.
How to prevent chaos?
1. Always be open minded and be ready for any outcome.
2. Realize that no one can be fully prepared and we live in an everchanging world. The knowledge of yesterday may not be applicable today.
3. Do not form opinions or draw conclusions too soon. Always, be ready for surprises.
4. Realize that this is not your last chance, life would present with new opportunities all the time.
5. Always keep learning as we all are students of life.
